Jonas Brothers Biography
Jonas Brothers biography for the whole band, for individual biographies please see Joe, Nick and Kevin. The Jonas Brothers biography, it all started when Nick was just six years old, he was discovered singing in a barber shop and referred to a professional manager. Shortly after Nick began performing on Broadway and appeared in several plays, including A Christmas Carol, Annie Get Your Gun, Beauty and the Beast and The Sound of Music.
In 2002 while performing in Beauty and the Beast, Nick wrote a song with his father called "Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)" which became a popular hit on Christian radio. Later in 2004 an executive at Columbia Records liked Nick's song and decided to give him a record deal. The next single "Dear God" was released followed by a self-titled solo album. Several of the songs on the album were wrote by the brothers.
In 2005 Steve Greenberg, the new president at Columbia Records, did not like Nick's album but he did like his voice. He decided to sign the three brothers as a group after hearing the song "Please Be Mine" which was written and performed by the brothers. After touring with other acts the Jonas Brothers released their first single "Mandy" in December 2005. Their first album "It's About Time" was released in August 2006.
